Elizabeth Godshall

Elizabeth S. Godshall, MD is a board-certified general and bariatric surgeon who has been with Strive Surgical since 2018 and serves as Assistant Director of Bariatric Surgery at Northwell Phelps Hospital. She performs the full range of weight loss procedures using both laparoscopic and robotic techniques, with notable expertise in revisional and salvage surgery: converting or correcting operations performed years earlier, including gastric band complications and prior procedures that have failed. She completed her general surgery residency at the Medical University of South Carolina, where she was named Intern of the Year, followed by a fellowship in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She earned her medical degree at Virginia Commonwealth University and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Dr. Godshall has been named a Castle Connolly Top Doctor since 2021 and a Westchester Magazine Top Doctor since 2022, and has published on surgical quality and patient safety.
