Glenn Forrester

Glenn J. Forrester, MD, FACS, FASMBS is a board-certified bariatric and general surgeon with nearly two decades in practice. He completed his general surgery residency and chief residency at Our Lady of Mercy and Lincoln Medical Centers in the Bronx, earning the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons Resident Achievement Award, then a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center, where he was part of one of the first teams in the country to perform single-incision laparoscopic surgery. He has since directed bariatric surgery programs at two New Jersey hospitals, taught as an assistant professor of surgery, and received the Overlook Medical Center Physician Excellence Award. He offers sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, SADI/DS, revisional bariatric surgery, medical weight loss, hernia repair, and anti-reflux surgery. Dr. Forrester believes education is the key to success both before and after surgery, and gives patients the time to be sure of their decision.
