Jeffrey Chiao

Jeffrey W. Chiao, MD, FACS, FASMBS is a board-certified bariatric and general surgeon and a partner at Strive Surgical, where he serves as Medical Director for the New York region and Director of Endoscopy in Manhattan. He is also Director of Bariatric Surgery at Mercy Medical Center in Rockville Centre. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, he trained in general surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago and completed a fellowship in bariatric and minimally invasive surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, one of the country’s busiest bariatric centers, where he performed more than 400 operations. Dr. Chiao offers sleeve gastrectomy, duodenal switch, SADI, revisional bariatric surgery, and minimally invasive hernia, gallbladder, and reflux surgery. What drives him is watching patients shed not just weight but years of physical limitation – and get back to their lives.
