MD, FACS, FASMBS
Kartik Gohil, MD is a General and Bariatric surgeon specializing in advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery for weight loss procedures alongside gallbladder, appendix, and hernia surgery, and colorectal conditions including diverticulitis and colon cancer. That range means patients with more than one surgical problem can often be cared for by a single surgeon. He completed his general surgery residency at Michigan State University and specialty training in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at Stony Brook University Medical Center, followed by training in robotic technique, which he applies to complex procedures that once required open surgery. Dr. Gohil earned his medical degree at Baroda Medical College in India, where he graduated at the top of his class, and has practiced with the group since 2020. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, ASMBS, and SAGES.
