Spine & Pain

Surgical and nonsurgical spine care and pain management

Let’s Talk

Coordinated care for back, neck, joint, and nerve pain

Pain does not always follow a straight line and can be debilitating. It can return, travel, or make ordinary movement feel unpredictable. Strive brings spine surgeons and pain specialists together to look more closely at what may be driving your symptoms. Your care can begin with office-based treatment and become more targeted as your needs come into focus, including surgery when it makes sense. The goal is to help you move with less limitation and spend less of your life planning around pain.

Treatment aimed at the life you want back

Your plan is tied to the movement and daily activities you want to reclaim. It may start with office-based care, including targeted treatment for joint, back, or neck pain, and become more focused if your symptoms call for it. When surgery is the right next step, eligible patients may return home the same day from a purpose-built outpatient center, with the same team supporting recovery.

What’s getting in the way of relief?

It can be easy to put off joint, back, neck, or nerve pain, hoping it will improve on its own. Over time, pain can start to limit your routines and make daily life harder. If your symptoms aren’t improving as expected, our Spine & Pain team can help uncover what’s behind them and determine the right next step.

Spine and pain conditions we treat

Neck and back pain can be acute, ongoing, or recurring, making ordinary movement and daily routines harder. Strive evaluates what may be contributing to your symptoms and helps you understand where to begin.

Herniated, ruptured, or collapsed discs can irritate nearby nerves, causing pain, numbness, tingling, or symptoms that travel into an arm or leg. Sciatica and pinched nerves may also affect how you move and function.

Arthritis, degenerative disc disease, bone spurs, spinal or foraminal stenosis, and facet joint syndrome can affect the spine over time. An evaluation can help clarify what may be contributing to pain, weakness, or limited mobility.

Changes in spinal alignment can affect posture, movement, and comfort. Strive evaluates scoliosis and other structural concerns to help determine how they may be contributing to your symptoms.

Spinal injuries and fractures can affect movement and cause significant pain. Timely evaluation can help determine the severity of the problem and whether nonsurgical or surgical care may be appropriate.

Pain management at Strive is not limited to the spine. Care may also address degenerative joint pain in the shoulder, hip, knee, or ankle, as well as nerve-compression symptoms such as carpal or cubital tunnel syndrome.

Pain management, treatment, and procedures

We begin by understanding what you’re experiencing and what you want to get back to. From there, we help you find the right next step, with personalized options that may include conservative care, pain management, or surgery when needed.

Many spine and pain concerns can be managed without a procedure. Depending on your symptoms and goals, conservative care may include physical therapy, activity modification, medication management, and other steps that support movement and recovery.

When pain continues or needs more targeted treatment, interventional options may help address the source of your symptoms. Depending on your evaluation, these may include epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation, or spinal cord stimulation when offered.

Surgery may be considered when your symptoms, evaluation, and goals point to a more advanced next step. If a surgical consultation is recommended, your surgeon will explain why surgery is being considered, what alternatives may exist, and what preparation and recovery may involve.

Frequently asked questions

Find answers to common questions about spine and pain treatment and surgery at Strive Surgical.

Consider an evaluation if back or neck pain keeps returning, affects your movement or daily activities, travels into an arm or leg, or is not improving as expected. A spine and pain team can help clarify what may be causing your symptoms and what to do next.

Not necessarily. Many patients begin with nonsurgical or interventional care, such as physical therapy, activity modification, medication management, or injections. Surgery may be considered when your evaluation and symptoms point to it as the right next step.

Spine & Pain care is available at select Strive locations. Because services vary by site, your care may begin in an office setting and continue at an outpatient surgery center if a procedure becomes appropriate. Our team can help you find the right specialist and the most convenient place to begin.

Treatment depends on what is causing your symptoms. Options may include physical therapy, activity modification, medication management, injections, nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation, or surgery when needed and clinically appropriate.

Yes. An evaluation does not commit you to surgery. Your team can help you understand your symptoms and discuss nonsurgical or interventional options first.

Bring a list of your medications, relevant medical records or imaging, and information about your symptoms and previous treatment. It can also help to write down your questions and what activities or routines your pain is affecting.

Coverage depends on your insurance plan, the service you need, and where care is provided. Our team can help with the next steps, but your insurance provider can confirm benefits, referral requirements, and any out-of-pocket costs before treatment.
